David Brasher
Oblivion is very very unstable and crashes all the time, but ordinarily, people get further than you did before the first crash. It is possible for an install to be bugged up. You may want to reinstall the game and try again. Most crashes are due to mods, but it sounds like you don't have any yet. Oblivion is for powerful computers. It sounds like you are playing it on your old computer. There is the possibility that this is contributing to your issue. AlfredTetzlaff
Hi,also a good place to start would be turning down the graphics quality in the launcher. I'e encountered a similar problem on my secondary "not really built for gaming" PC, the ATI grahics just did not like HDR lightning. I've changed it to Bloom and no more crashes.Just set your graphic options to low, see if it runs. If so, revert to higher settings in small steps.Hope this helps, good luck ;)
