Looking for an anti enemy bullet sponge mod

I feel like something of this sort probably already exists i simply can't find it. I like brutal combat, where the game is hard and I can die easily, but also where I have some chance without expending literally 12 shotgun shells to kill a single ghoul.

And I have found a few mods similar, the one I used to use seems defunct. Here's my issue, so far all of the mods i've found that reduce the bullet sponginess of enemies does so by modifying weapon damage, or by modifying specific NPC entries. I use several mods to make NPCs more intersting, raider overhaul, minutment overhaul, mutant redux, and synth overhaul, so i'm pretty sure any mod that modifys unit health won't work with those. I also use weapon mods, namely weaponsmith extended, so any mods that fix this by changing weapon damage also won't work.

I can't be the only person out there who hates bullet sponges as difficulty (i'm pretty sure most of us do) and uses weapon mods (again, I'm pretty sure that covers about 99% of the fallout 4 community) so there has to be some mod somewhere that effects enemy health by some sort of percentage system instead of directly modifying the individual npc entries, or some way to make player shots on npcs still do reasonable damage without completely discounting you from using npc or weapon mods for it to work. Any direction towards something that does this would be wonderful.

WSE just got a patch to nerf the damage because it was slaughtering everything you may want to double check that install just to be sure.

Thank you. But wouldn't nerfing the damage of weapons make the enemies more bullet spongy? Or maybe i could try a prior version. It's just odd, even on easy difficulty everything takes me a cilp and a half, or about 7 shotgun shells to kill.

Wish they'd have taken some notes from NV with weapons, make combat a bit forgiving for you in normal difficulty and still let you kill enemies without expending ridiculous amounts of bullets into them, unless it was a Deathclaw (although Cazadores were BS as hell) but humans were something you simply just took a shotgun and wiped out almost immediately because they're just that, humans. Not mutated roaches, not mutated lizards that outsize a f*#@ing minivan, they're just humans and shouldn't be able to take a lot of bullets unless they're in PA.

So I'm not 100% sure what these mods edit specifically, but I've used both of them alongside Minutemen Overhaul, Raider Overhaul and Supermutant Redux along with multiple weapon add ins.

Better Locational Damage - This mod can be OP if you're a good shot, basically a cranial collision kills

Arbitration - Doesn't specifically edit damage, but rather is a full overhaul of combat and stealth mechanics

**Realistic Survival Damage - Hmm appears to be out of date and hidden, but was a really simple edit that removed spongey-ness

If you'd like an old archive of RSD, let me know.. I have a feeling I have a copy on a backup drive around here somewhere...
