The Dark Brotherhood

Does anyone else feel that the Dark Brotherhood quest line is lacking a lot?

None of the contracts to kill someone have a reason or any type of story to it, and there is no skill needed whatsoever to kill the target. Its very disappointing to me that

I don't have to stalk my targets and learn what they do throughout their day, like I had to in Oblivion. Every contract is just "This is a person's name, go to this obvious

place, kill them, and return". And the fact that there is no story as to why I'm killing these people makes it feel so... pointless, and not meaningful at all.

There also isn't any type of reward for going the extra mile by following the directions completely. But... this would go along with the above.

I haven't finished the entire quest line yet, but I'm a good ways in. The story overall so far isn't nearly as appealing and deceitful as the Oblivion story either. The story seems to

be progressing way too fast and my rank in the Dark Brotherhood continues to increase extremely quickly. Hell, one of the first quests made me the Listener... I just don't feel

connected to any of the characters at all.

Is it just me...?

ALSO: I don't mean to hate on the game, and besides this I LOVE IT. Everything else I've experienced is amazing and has completely lived up to my hype.

(except I'm leveling way too fast... level 27 already. Wish it took more to level up as well)

ONE LAST THING: Now that I think about it, I think I might have finished the quest line. If so, it seriously is horribly disappointing.

If anyone has finished it, let me know if this is when it ends: When you settle down in the 2nd Sanctuary by Dawnstar, after you kill the Emperor?

I've found it a little disappointing too, but it definitely picked up towards the end of the quest line. Not as inventive or clever as Oblivions unfortunately but still don't think it was bad.

As for levelling too fast, the higher you level the slower you level. You won't think it's too fast eventually. :)
