XanAlderon
In the main world of Skyrim, not cities or dungeons where it works fine, the game pauses for around 5 seconds as I walk a little distance. As far as I can tell my computer should be able to run Skyrim fine... It can easily run it on high, with no performance hit apart from the freezes I mentioned. Changing it to low settings, with everything on the most minimal possible does absolutely nothing to stop the pauses. I can't work out why it's doing this, making world travel an incredibly annoying and long affair. Any help with this would be really appreciated. Thanks. Handofbane
Is it doing that while zig-zagging following roads? Or when you run in a straight line too? If it is while zig-zagging a lot, you may just be repeatedly crossing a cell border, causing the game to try to load/unload cells further out from your position again and again. Just a theory, though, based on previous Bethesda games.
