lolozori
I am a thief, sneaking close of an enemy sitting on his chair, singing a bandit s song. * I take the bow and target enemy s head. *3X damages sneak attack, enemy get the arrow full head and start searching in alert mode... *sneaking in the shadow, am like invisible *Enemy with the arrow in his head: "i though i heard something, must have been my imagination" *enemy just sit on his chair again and start to sing the song again with arrow full head me: WTF AI

Y0kenB
Pathfinding for NPC, they can't jump on even the smallest rock, or drop down not-too-high ledges after you. Often trying to find alternate routes which alarms the enemy. Friend / Companion battles - being hit in the face multiple times without swinging back (Companions mission where you need to retrieve the fragment) Caves - slaying NPC within 10 meters of another, without raising suspicion. Also agreed, once a guy has an arrow in his head, he needs to keep searching, and get torches if need be, i sure would! hehe
natelovesyou
Yeah it's as abysmally bad as Oblivion just about. Well, not to be too harsh..it's definitely better...but still bad. -Sometimes an enemy just stands there and doesn't attack me, no obstacles keeping him/her from doing so.-Sometimes when I'm sneaking, and quicksave while well-hidden, and I have to re-load, I'm immediately discovered upon loading the quicksave again, and from then on. Sometimes I randomly get lucky, but it doesn't make sense when I'm high in Sneak, I'm in a dark area, and the enemy is around the corner.
FloppyMary
In my opinion... The whole charm of TES series (since TES IV: Oblivion) is the AI's stupidness, makes me laugh every time I play.
vorius
Yeah there is a certain charm in the AI's inabilities... especially the situation like the OP describes. I really dont like the pathfinding issue though. You jump on a rock and the enemy then runs off straight off to the horizon. Where the hell is he going ??? Is he the sunset cowboy making his dramatic departure? Is he running off to a Home Depot to buy a stepladder? I dont get it...
ShadowscaleB1980
I have deliberately made opponents fall off high ledges in order to get to me, they often die from the fall. recently I sneaked up on a dragon, got my poisoned dagger out and I got a one-stab kill.
ginnyfizz
I certainly had an issue with Tolfdir not turning up outside a certain barrow, well he was invisible, his quest marker was there but he wasn't. I fast travelled away and back again and he appeared. Gotta love that AI, it makes the game so damned funny.
