cfh85
What sort of memory does a quest script have? Will it retain changes made if the game is saved and exited?
Surilindur
You mean variables? It keeps the variable values, yes.
cfh85
I thought so. It's been years since I spent any real time working on mods so I've forgotten most of what I learnt
Surilindur
Ah. Okay. I think every instance of a script keeps its variables until it is somehow removed (like magic effect scripts). You can test it if you want. Quest scripts are handy to store variables in, although there are situations in the vanilla game when an object script on a persistent actor ref has been used in a dialogue condition check, for example. Maybe the wiki has more info. I actually made a few mods for Skyrim, and forgot some simple Oblivion things in just a few months, too. :P
