Ok, so your extractor extracted your files in a folder he created with the name of the archive, I think.

What you need is going into those folders, you will see either a data folder, in this case go in it, or a Textures folder (maybe a Meshes one in the last), it's this folder (Textures and/or Meshes) that must go in the Data folder of your game.

ah thanks that is just what i needed, but for the dragonscale there is no texture or meshes, it goes Dragonscale_Recolor_Red_Version-231>armor>dragonscale. then 4 files armor.dds, boots.dds, gloves.dds and helmet.dds, whats wrong with this one?

I have the same problem as OP. I extract files into C:\Progra...\Steam\......Data\

The file architecture in Data looks like:

Interface

Strings

textures

Video

Skyrim - Animations.bsa

Skyrim - Interface.bsa

etc...

Inside textures I have...

actors

blood

Blue Spruce

Bright Blue Spruce

Foresty Green

landscape

Subtle Green

now opening up actor..... (Data\textures\actor\)

- list of different races male and female -

let's open up the male folder

malehead.dds

malehead_msn.dds

malehead_s.dds

I believe some mods might be working, I know the auto-installer for one of the mods seemed to have worked. But the rest don't.

The armor folder goes in the textures folder. (should be written somewhere on the page of the mod, I hope)

Everything seems in place, strange it doesn't work... If nothing works, maybe "load loose files" got unchecked in the data menu, if some work and some don't, I don't have a clue why with this info.

Edit: For "Blue Spruce", "Bright Blue Spruce", "Foresty Green", "Subtle Green", it looks like a color choice, look into those folders, you might have to choose which one you want and put what is in it in Data or Textures. Once again, a readme in the download and/or the description of the file on the site should tell you that, if not, you should tell the uploader to do it.

After the game crashed like 3 times in an hour, everything was automatically modded o.O Yeah, I don't get it either.

offtopic: even when the game wasn't modded, it would crash a whole lot. Gotta f5 often but I think it's a direct x issue even though there's no log to look at.
