kieranbhoy
Ok so i have been wanting to live in Solitude until i played it and found out the empire rule it -.- Any other non-snowy place to live in? Even if it isn't major, still list it. You could also state where you live and why.
AlteredAgain
I live in Windrun, but only because it's the only city I've been to so far. I just can't help exploring the wilderness.
siviz4
All of the major towns have houses available for purchase. You may also move in with your spouse once you have one, enabling a bunch of smaller settlements to live in. I myself live in Whiterun at the moment, because it was the first dwelling I could get my hands on. Will probably set up shop in Riften or Windhelm, though. icedrgon
Riften doesn't have a lot of snow in it, and it kind of on the water. It's a nice place, though its pretty seedy what with the Thieve's Guild and all that. Me I'm living in the Mage's College in Winterhold and it's nice. N3C14R
I live in Markarth. Quite a large player house there too. :)
TwoToedSloth
I have a couple of homes: College of Winterhold: + Really nice and spacious.+ Regenerating alchemy elements- Annoying to get to from fast travel. WhiteRun:+ Right next to fast travel+ Right next to 3 vendors to unload gear and make coin+ One of the nicest looking towns in the game- Small- Cluttered- No Enchantment maker :(5k gold Markarth: + Really freaking nice+ Lots of nice weapon mounts+ Both alchemy and enchantments+ 3 bookshelves compared to WhiteRun's 2+ Mannequin for displaying armor :) - Kinda away from fast travel(I mean who really wants to walk up those stairs?)8k gold Currently all of my hoarding stuff is in WhiteRun, but I'm thinking of making the switch to Markarth because it will be much easier to organize there with the added bookcases, wall mounts, enchantments, extra cabinets, etc. I really like the city of WhiteRun though. :/
glensh
Can anyone make a good suggestions for towns that have work to make profit.
Fuzer
Sorry, but what do you call home? A fixed place, that is created to live (for example, the 5k house in whiterun)? or something you call home? ( I sleep in Companion guildhouse, is that what are you saying?) ( I sleep in Companion guildhouse, is that what are you saying?)A home as in a place you purchase, therefore it's yours. Not just a bed you're allowed to sleep in. Also, most importantly, those containers have SetOwnership to the player, so they do not reset, and NPCs will not access them. So your loot is safe, unlike other containers. dikr
As a rogue I really wanted the house in Riften and after finally getting the "go speak to the Jarl message" I became eligible (involves doing a lot of random Riften quests). And it's great for me: not too big, not too small, fully furnished it's very cozy and it it comes with a porch overlooking the lake and a small garden at the town side. Very close to fast travel location too. It has an alchemy lab and enchanting altar, two mannequins some bookshelves and a couple of weapon displays. Only weird thing is one small room in the basement still looking empty / cluttered. As if there should be something there that didn't manifest after buying all upgrades.
