Rennn
I'm relaying this here since my brother doesn't have internet access at the moment. After he plays Skyrim for a while, his pc shuts down with no warning. It just shuts off. It's new, and it's prebuilt, so it's not a dust issue and it's probably not due to conflicting components. This probably isn't related to Skyrim, but I have no way of knowing since that's the only high-stress game he plays. I, myself, am advising him that it's probably an overheating issue due to his hot-running components and only having a single outtake fan. Here are the specs:AMD Phenom II X6 at 3.2Ghz with a dedicated fanRadeon HD 6770 1GB8GB RAM split across 2 slots700W atx power supply of an unknown modela single 80-100-ish millimeter outtake fan at the back of the casea single 80-100-ish millimeter intake fan at the bottom/front of the case The other possibility is that his psu is failing. It's (too) cheap, so if I could convince him to take steps to find the specific model it might have a high failure rate. What do you all think? Is it a PSU failure, or an overheating problem?
