BlackCompany
I do not know if you broke the economy or not, but I am going to start occupying your front lawn just in case. Well done. Well done, indeed. As for this spell, I believe Bethesda tried - and largely succeeded - in catering to a large number of play styles in this game. You have balanced perks - slowly scaling damage with weapon types, unlocking dual casting with spells, and slowly buffing armor ratings. Speech increases slowly and pickpocket...well, only one way to test that. But Bethesda also caters to the "Power Gamers" who like exploits and overpowered goodies. Like Transmute, for instance. This could leave my game and I would never miss it, for all the reasons listed in the initial post. But some like it and its not mandatory, so hey, why not include it? The same goes for stealing equipped armor from bodies and weapons from character's hands. Overpowered? Yes. But fun, if you like that sort of thing. The which I don't. But just like fast travel, I'll not begrudge others the play style they prefer. To each their own, and everyone enjoy. Now, we've got Dragons to kill.
