Faivon
Can someone compare those mods? What are their advantages, disadvantages and so on?Let's say review topic but if there is already another topic similar to this, please direct me. I heard that we can use them altogether? As far as I know, OOO v1.3 changes most of the game system, add weapons and armors and so on but not much comparing to Francesco. While MMM add mostly new monsters... Correct me if i'm wrong. Need help pls? EDIT : Btw, I downloaded the three of them and not sure if I can install all of them? I don't want to crash my current save games!
malonn
That's sort of a big question. Try reading here and on the official forums what people say. I suppose I'm a rarity in this opinion, but I didn't like OOO that much; I found it too challenging. I didn't level my character beyond 3 when I just uninstalled it. I was running away from near half of all my fights, or cheating which makes the game uber boring. Plus most of the visual changes like new armors and water vegetation you can get with separate mods. Lock bashing, Harvest Containers...mods like that that he incorporates you can download and run stand-alone. But hundreds of thousands of downloads and awards speak for themselves, so try it and see. I always use Francesco's, though only the core leveled creatures/enemy's aspect, none of the addon stuff. So I can't give much of an opinion on that. I love MMM. It is very modular (OOO is too if you use the lite version), so you can pick and choose a lot of the content. The new and variate monsters are awesome. Yes, to answer your question, that's what the mod focuses on. But it offers much more like pretty heavy AI changes to creatures, adventurers doing their own thing, plus guard patrols around towns, new armors, new loot, a crafting system, etc...I highly recommend MMM. Take a look at the readme's for the mods. You won't get a better idea about what they offer than from reading the readme's. And yes, you can run all of the major overhaul mods together without conflicts by using FCOM. But you also need to download Warcry if you are going to use that. I've never tried Warcry, so can't say anything about that one. And as far as updating an existing save game, there is a process you need to go through with Wyre Bash for that. I think w/ MMM you need to let your cells reset, or use Wyre Bash...dunno about Fran or Warcry. Probably the same.
Faivon
I did a quick search in the forums, but I can't find a similar topic. My apologies.. I also did a quick install on OOO and to be frank, I'm not too satisfied with all of it. The readme file is too boring.. It's more like a stories than a manual. Uh, he didn't state anything about where to find this and where to find that ... expect me to roam around Cyrodiil to find Bosmer Adventurer? <_<And you're right ... All those mods compiled together can be downloaded separately and works better I think. Maybe I'll give Francesco and MMM a shot ... sounds very promising :)
