mtflannery89
Horses need different speeds / prices / ability to carry items with different weight limit for each horse type. Pack horses (ones that are meant to carry a lot of loot) should be slower than horses meant for speed. I'll be periodically checking this post for responses, and probably adding on ideas as I continue on. Thanks for your interest! -mtflannery89

Emerson23
When I see trouble ahead, I usually dismount my horse and leave it behind so that it will not be killed in battle. After the battle, I then have to run back to the horse to get back on it. I would like to see a mod that would allow you to signal your horse that it should run to a position near you. This would be like the cool feature in "Red Dead Redemption" that if your horse is within ear shot it will run to you, if you whistle.
mtflannery89
I agree with Emerson, that'd be a cool feature to see
XilaOlim
I missing having the choice to ride in first person like in oblivion :/ Edit: Found a thread already requesting what I mentioned, but I will still +1 this thread as I'm pretty disappointed with the horses in Skyrim so far. Kairo29
i like the OP's idea. would love to see this happen. Differing horse speeds was cool in Oblivion...
windclan
I'd like my horse to stop going after enemies. Defending himself is one thing but climbing up a tower to get at some bandits is a little ridiculous...

I want this! 40% of the time I'm playing Skyrim! :] But I totally enjoy the idea of the OP. Would make it more realistic, and the realistic part of the game is the reason I play it. Especially f.eks when I'm in Solitude and can't fast travel anywhere nearby because I haven't discovered anything outside (close) to the city, so I have to run all the way to my target point. Edit: figured out there actually is a stable in Solitude. Joke's on me. I'd also appreciate my horse, NOT trying to play hero all the time. Rickky
I would love to have more horses as well. Being able to choose between them by color etc, to match my armor or clothes. Or whether horses with different speed come to reality. That'd be great.
