Skyrim Lycanthropy Cure using the console

If you have the Lover Stone active, you CANNOT get a rested/well rested sleeping bonus, ever.

set playeriswerewolf to 0

player.setstage F6090 100

Didn't even have to save/quit. After typing those in the console I was back to getting my sleeping "well rested" bonus. Thanks!

Hello,

I am having the same issue as everyone. However, unlike most of you, I have tried everything recommended in this thread to no success. I did all the codes 2x forwards and backwards, including leaving and re-entering the area and the save/load method. Nothing seems to be working for me. Still no bonuses and the stats ("days as werewolf") continue to climb. I found this thread via a google search about the issue, and this seems to be the only place that has found a fix for it using console. I assure you I have done the stops as suggested and even changed my stone from warrior to mage and then back to warrior again. I have yet to discover the lovers stone, so i know that is not the issue.

I cured my Lycanthropy during the "Purity" quest to set Farkas and Vilkas free of the disease. It would not let me throw my own witches head into the blue flames until I had gone back the 2nd time and cured vilkas. Immediately after I cured him, I was able to throw the 3rd and final witches head into the flames and cure my own disease, or so I had thought.

I still get heckled by the guards... Apparently I still smell and smile like a wolf. No bonuses...

I have tried to continue questing with Areal to see if she would offer me some kind of cure, and that hasn't worked out for me yet either.

Any help you could give me would be great. I'm starting to think that the issue may have been caused by the timing of my own cure. I should have waited or something... I dunno.... I'm just sick of being wolfy.

Care to send me your latest savegame? Might be something specific I've never encountered before and you might not be the only one.

PS, even after getting rid of all kinds of lycanthropy traces, random npc's continue to comment on your appearance as if you were a werewolf. This either points to flawed dialogue conditions or to some hidden values that we haven't found yet.

I was enjoying the werewolf questline, and was just starting to think to myself, "well, It's been fun but I wonder if I'm able to cure myself." I went to talk to Vilkas and sure enough he mentions wanting to be cured and kicks out my follower, asking me to take him to get cured. I walk out of the room and suddenly he's no longer following me. In my journal the quest is gone too. If I go back in the building he acts as though I never started the quest. If I try to get him, or any follower, to simply follow me, they all say, "looks like you've got someone already.", even though I clearly don't. Saving/Reloading didn't fix it either. I fear it may have broken my character. I thought this was a bug onset from the 1.2 fiasco as it was the first problem I'd encountered since launch. Scanning through here though, I noticed this thread about questline issues with the lycanthropes and wondered if maybe I'm just experiencing some form of this problem?

If so, I'm hoping you have any advice on how to fix the issue, kittytoaster.

is it possible to become a werewolf after this since its a console code? not the actual quest? also is it possible to just turn on lycanthropy using console just like turning it off? same for vampires on and off?

It's all possible and since this gets asked a lot, I'll include simple instructions for becoming a werewolf and vampire plus curing vampirism, in the first post as soon as possible.

@SecretStash

So your problem now is that your character is a werewolf, you can't cure him and can't take any followers? I wouldn't suggest trying to force the 'Cure Vilkas and Farkas' quest named 'Purity', as forcing the quest isn't working as well as expected. You'd still have to interact with buggy features when doing the questline. I do suggest using the steps covered in the first post.

To get the followers bug fixed, you'd hopefully just have to change one global variable from 1 to 0. Try: set PlayerFollowerCount to 0

If you think I got the problem all wrong or want to use some specific fix and need help, leave another reply.
