OaklandElliff
Let's say I modified a Leveled List for Automatron. I then removed the DLC from my saved game. Will there be any crashes or problems? The leveled list wouldn't work obviously but the lack of DLC just makes it stagnant data. Would this be okay if I wanted to make a modification that modifies leveled lists but making DLC optional without a separate download?
EbokianKnight
If you edited the leveled list and it now requires Automatron as a master, then removing Automatron will crash your game. If your level list edits did not contain any non-vanilla assets, but were simply automatron's revisions to a list, then you're good to go. Your best bet will be to re-edit your level list and remove the automatron assets before discarding the DLC. OaklandElliff
Alright thank you. So if it was a reinvisioning of already existing Automatron level list (ie I added items to an automatron level list) it would crash despite the player having no way to access the DLC level list? WhiskeyRiver2
Alright thank you. So if it was a reinvisioning of already existing Automatron level list (ie I added items to an automatron level list) it would crash despite the player having no way to access the DLC level list?If I read that right, the game would crash specifically BECAUSE it's trying to reference something that simply isn't there. If you add or change anything in a DLC leveled list, then that DLC is now a master file to your mod, and removing that master without removing the altered content (in this case, removing Automatron as a master file without removing the edited Automatron content) -will- break the mod if not the game.
