Serophis
Nothing annoys me more in a game than things that cannot be killed; especially things that are as innocent and defenseless as children. These creatures need to be made killable for the sake of gaming freedom! It is far from morally reprehensible to do so. In fact, it is quite honorable. It takes bravery to face up to morally righteous people telling us what can and can not be done (in a game of all places). Face up to this dictatorship of unjustified and restrictive moral rules! Make a mod that rids this unnecessary (unrealistic) chain from the game! Surely someone agrees?

CheeseN1P
Theres so many people that want this and this isnt the only thread on it. that I wouldnt worry about it, will most likely be one of the first things out the door when the kit comes out. cppcooper
"It is far from morally reprehensible to do so. In fact, it is quite honorable." Hardly.. it was morality that kept it from the game in the first place. I doubt Bethesda wanted to be labeled as a innovator of moral corrosion. In any case, Bethesda may not be able to release such mods without legal repercussions. However anonymous lunatics of the internet surely can, and I for one look forward to it. I would suspect Bethesda knew people would want to, so I doubt they would have hard coded the children as being non killable. They are probably just ethereal or something stupid like that; maybe silver kills them. I am sure it will be a simple edit once the CS is released. (It is being released right?) Good news then! I cannot for the life of me comprehend how making the game more realistic is a bad thing for some people. Who likes to see the scene of a dragon tearing up a village killing everyone except immortal children whose only reaction is probably "meh". I'm glad I haven't witnessed it so far, because such an experience would surely make a part of my gaming soul die.
cppcooper
The dragons can only tear up places that have been scripted to allow such a thing. Like the opening. There were no children there, for obvious reasons.
lessthan3
Sometimes children are witnesses to your crimes and need to be silenced permanently. *nods agreeingly*

Oh, well. lessthan3 brings up an excellent point though!

Oh, well. lessthan3 brings up an excellent point though! I was just in a town that had kids and two dragons attacked at the same time... Granted only one of them actually stuck around to fight, the other one burned some people and left. But they do indeed attack places where kids live. Pay attention to what's going on around you before you get off the wagon, a father yells at his kid to get inside the house once he realizes why your wagon is in town. The child's survival is also left as an unknown since going back to Helgen later shows only charred bodies scattered around, none recognizable/named.
