Fur for armors

Guys, you typically wear fur or leather UNDER your armor. Note that most types of armor require leather to craft. Additionally, you can see fur sticking out from under several pieces of armor, such as Dragonplate gauntlets and boots. I definitely agree that we need more winterized armor... But this fur should be added as padding under armor, instead of layered over top of it.

This mod is supposed to be a option for those of us who want this, not so that it will replace everything in the game and force you to do use it if you dont want :)

so here's my little contribution to the conversation;

Yes there are armors with bits of fur ... namely, fur armor (which co-incedentaly leave the arms bare), and the Steel Plate has some fur, as well as the Wolf Armor.

HOWEVER

Even the Dragonplate leave the arms bare ....... really???? Bare arms? in PLATE ??, and metal, when exposed to cold temperatures seems to absorb the cold. This isn't even mentioning the fact that I've lived up in Northern Canada (B.C. and Alberta) where the temp gets down to -30 without wind chill. I'd go outside in long underwear, pants, wool pants, then a t-shirt, long sleeve shirt, and hoodie before I even threw my jacket on, and i know how cold I would get when outside for long periods in those conditions. Every other mountain or valley you come across in Skyrim is in the midst of a snow storm. Certainly a nice big fluffy fur cloak (or tabard) wouldn't be so out of the question.

Here is my own contribution. Hopefully DigitalZombie see this and likes it ;) I could probably manage this if the armors were chopped into pieces that i could switch out, however i lack the knowledge, and have only JUST started dinking with blender.

I've fallen in love with the whole werewolf aspect to the game, especially since there's stories of warriors called the Ulfhednar from Norse myth who were like the berserkers and were said to take on the aspects of wolves in battle, wear wolf skins so on ......

basically I'd just love to see someone take the breastplate (minus the skirt and shoulder pads) from the male wolf armor and add it to Ulfric's Clothes, with the rest of the wolf gear ..... whipped this up in Paint Shop Pro with free select and copy paste, the outfit I'd love to see added into the game is clearly marked on the right ;)

Hopefully both end up as options, though I would agree that something should also be done about the lack of padding under armor which would be another place fur could be added in, both as a winterizer and as a practical I no longer will get horrible bruising or worse from that mace I just took to the leather pauldron strapped directly to my bare arm..

Good idea. Also like the part someone earlier said about adding pants to armors without them. I don't want to wear a leather skirt. Updated versions of those ones and winterizing other options would be cool. I kind of like the customization suggestion above too about having to craft ur own winterizations. I could make 2 diff armors and use 2 diff type of pelts to have some color variation. +1
