sns6
I have an issue with Skyrim for the Xbox. I can't move on in the main quest! I just finished the quest "Diplomatic Immunity" and when I talk to Delphine she says her dialog and everything; the quest for Diplomatic Immunity completes but then nothing. My friend is playing on his xbox with me and when he did it, the quest for "Concerned Rat" is added immediately after the Diplomatic Immunity is completed. There is no way for me to move on since I need the quest in order for Esbern to open the door in the Ratway. I'm really hoping that there will be a patch to fix this since I have put in countless hours before starting the main quest, so restarting from scratch isn't really an option. Things I have tried: -I saved right before I turned in the "Diplomatic Immunity" quest and I have tried to turn it in multiple times but the result is the same. -Removed all diseases but result was the same -Completed another quest and then tried to turn it in; same results. Even if you get the Cornered Rat quest to start, good luck getting Esbern to open the door and have actual dialogue with you. That quest has been so buggy for so many people, including myself. Maybe it's just a pc bug though idk...
N3C14R
Its to do with the "Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa" archive not being read/located/loaded/whatever by Skyrim. Download BSA Unpacker, extract the whole Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa archive, put the extracted contents in your data folder and play the game. :)

How can I fix this for the Xbox? I'm going to use my friends Skryim copy tonight instead of mine. Maybe the disk I have is somehow faulty.

How can I fix this for the Xbox? I'm going to use my friends Skryim copy tonight instead of mine. Maybe the disk I have is somehow faulty. wow, i thought that bug was only for the PC version. damn, i have no idea how to fix it for xbox :( I'm having the exact same issue, but for the PC. Extracting those files using the unpacker and placing them all into the main 'data' folder did not solve my problem. I have a game save I've been using to test solutions right before speaking to Delphene to end the Diplomatic Immunity quest. As an aside, I've tried using a number of console prompts to move the main quest forward, none of which worked either. I can successfully complete Diplomatic Immunity using the 'setstage' command, but I can't begin A Cornered Rat using it. I tried both before and after unpacking the files. I've also tried completely reinstalling the game (DVD to install + Steam to patch). Same outcome, however. I have emailed Bethesda support explaining the issue and I would recommend anyone else not being able to solve the problem to do the same. I'm all for creative solutions (i.e. using the unpacker), but it shouldn't need to be done in the first place. Any other suggestions for me to try? My worry is my save has become corrupted somehow. Would it make sense for a corrupted save to cause this kind of problem? Even if they successfully patch this problem, is it possible that a corrupt save file would force me to abandon my current game regardless? (I don't mind doing side quests in the mean time, but if something is fundamentally screwed up with the save and I can never continue the main quest, there really is no point to continue playing.) lucioteba
Try "setstage mq203 5", It will skip to Alduin's Wall and you can continue the main quest. Please post if it works for u i have only tested this in my PC.

Please post if it works for u i have only tested this in my PC. This does in fact work for people who cannot acquire the "Cornered Rat" quest on PC. Using this console command completes a cornered rat and teleports you to Sky Haven Temple with Delphine and Esbern in order to complete the Alduin's wall quest.
