MOD Idea: Limit Companion Dialog.

Okay, I get home and want to R & R, right?

* Then Ada starts into her cycle of annoying repeating "small talk".

* Then Curie, also starts her 'small talk', dialog.

* Strong, well I have left him in the tower, I simply REFUSE to "rescue" him or the other guy.

So would it be possible to create a MOD dialog that either KILLS the small talk when at Home Base and or / control it to serious limitations of how often it cycles?

Please and pretty please?

I would even be more than willing to "Donate $$", for this to be done.

Now you're talking! Stress that in the title then you will get what you want! The frequency can be easily modified so good chance for pocket money.

My Hired Guns series of mods add companions that don't chatter, they only talk before, during, and after battle ("look at all the blood" etc.). Vanilla companions are unchanged.

Links in sig.

**EDIT** can't seem to find where to change my sig.

Hey those look like great mods.

But I'm not looking for new companions, I'm looking for better dialog control for the vanilla companions.

See I like Ada - Deacon - Nicky and such, but ... their 'homebase dialogs' ruin the game, when they repeat - repeat and repeat again, when I'm going for some R & R from my journeys in the C.W. :)

You might want to be careful with it, since I think offering money for mods in that fashion goes against the terms of service and might land you in trouble.

Thanks for the heads up - :)

No worries.

I'm just trying a couple of things to see if it works with restricting these dialogue options to outside of settlements. It's slow and tedious but since I'm a little too busy today for anything more creative I'll give it a try and later on tonight test if it works.

Hey, I was pointing that in a way. Implying $$ is already a bad move from the start. Most modders do modding for free so they feel bad when being treated in that way. I don't even know why OP keep using the term $$ in her posts. Maybe cultural difference. Hoping she will pay you fine; if you are ever willing to accept the $$.
