nvniko
So I used Jason's Ridiculous Oblivion Mod List installer (http://www.hronk.com/jmromp/Readme.html#GameplayMods) and I can't hear any music while I'm in the game. But I can hear all other types of sound effects??? I tried the "installed codec" program to try and see if there was a problem with my codecs and I couldn't find any issues. I also tried Nightmare2013's Codec reset utility v4.1 but that doesn't seem to work with windows 7 x64. So I'm knid of stuck with no music. Any help is greatly appreciated. David Brasher
The first thing to do would be to check your settings in-game. Your music volume could be turned so low that you can't hear it even though your sound effect volume is turned high enough to hear. Next go look at what is in your music folders. */Oblivion/Data/Music/Battle*/Oblivion/Data/Music/Dungeon*/Oblivion/Data/Music/Explore*/Oblivion/Data/Music/Public*/Oblivion/Data/Music/Special You may not have unpacked your BSA files and not installed any mods that add these folders, so they may not be there. When the computer gets no differing instructions, it goes with vanilla Oblivion. To mod your game, you can put things in these folders to change your music mix. You could unpack the BSA, download some music mods, or manually add your favorite tunes in MP3 format to these folders. If this does not work, you will probably need to systematically remove mods and repeatedly play-test until you get your music working again. If a mod breaks your music with scripting or setting changes, it will not matter what you do to your music folders until you get rid of the bad mod. The first mods you should deactivate are any that look like they might change the music system or add music.
