Spin6699
First off, any individual with a successful reply will receive the generous reward of kudos from yours truly. It occurs to me that there are more generic ways for an NPC to respond than the default "hmm? Yeah? Need something?". For example, there's non-specific dialogue for when you've made an enemy or a friend of an NPC, and I vaguely recall there being some lines like for occupied NPCs e.g. "I'm busy" but that could entirely be my imagination, mind. Does anyone know of any other sets that might exist, and how I might set a custom NPC to use these from the player's nagging E-pressing by default? For greater realism and ambience and whatnot, i.e. making new NPCs feel more alive without creating or manually repurposing dialogue for them. agerweb
In the DialogueGeneric quest there is a large number of miscellaneous phrases that NPCs can say based on various conditions they are under the 'Misc' tab. You can just copy the line and substitute your own conditions. Also worth checking out the other tabs in that quest for other small phrases that might be of use. KunoMochi
You might also want to check out the FollowerCommentary quests and check out the Scenes tab for a number of conditional dialogue triggered by things like location, weather, impressive sights, etc.
