The list of good mods (no nude, bigger boobs, sexy mod etc.)

When I search for mods, I find a lot of "bad" mods (nude, bigger boobs/ass, nude, sexy, nude, My Little Pony, nude mods etc.)

 

I thought about making a list of the best mod. Maybe someone loves nude mod, but I think it is useless. :armscrossed:

Good:

+add realism

+better textures

+improve the gaming experience

 

Bad

-God's (= invincible) weapon, armour etc.

-Joke textures (My Little Ponny, Donkey Kong Country Barrels, Spider man etc)

-"Cheating" mods

Well, that's very biased of you. Just because it's your personal opinion that nude mods are 'useless', doesn't mean they're bad. (Of course, there currently probably are bad ones, if at all, but along the line there might be great ones.) If you're going to make a list of good mods, you should make sure it's comprehensive, and that includes nude mods if they're good. Personal opinion shouldn't affect that.

 

But, then again, it is your list, so who am I to criticise? If your intention was to make a non-adult list of good mods, then by all means; it's just, from what you said, you didn't, you just made a list of good mods and excluded adult oriented ones because of your own personal dislike.

You know, I applaud your effort to provide such a list.

 

However, it is just a matter of opinion. I could detail reasons I consider 5 or more of the ones you list as 'good' as poor to very poor

due to poor artistic or technical interpretations that do little to add to the game other than bloat for marginal artistic worth.

 

Any number of so called 'improved' textures are dubious.

Example in case. Some weapon texture 'improvements' that

do make the handle appear better, perhaps, but neglect the fact the player does not see the handle as his/her hand

is wrapped around that usually. Further, the 'improvement' in the blade is nothing but a texture 'sharpening ' effect that

does nothing to actually improve the texture and in fact to my eyes makes them appear just different, not better.

 

So your list of 'good mods' I could quibble with down the list to quite a extent. In the end though it wont' matter as it is

all just opinion.

 

Yes, I do use a few texture replacements. One is a moon replacement, another the night sky field replacement and a few

nice re-paintings of various armor and clothing textures. The other 'good ones' have been some of the mods that fix

facial features to be less fugly.

 

No, I"m not using any 'nudy' mods so this is not a strike at you for your obvious bias.

I'm very selective though.

Do keep up your list I just wish people were not so eager for any mod to jump on anything 'different' as a improvement when it is just

a step backwards or sideways.

Lets avoid the whole "good mods and bad mods" naming convention and just stick to a wholesome list of "mods for people who arn't perverts" and "mods for people who are".

I'm trying to keep up a list myself but it's a lot of work so I salute your effort.

I don't mean to sound hostile, but I don't really understand the need for this - if you're genuinely looking for other people's opinions on what's a good mod, the Nexus site does a great job of tracking most endorsed/downloaded mods, both of all time and recently uploaded, and it's easy to search for 'non-adult' mods. I've personally not seen a huge amount of 'My little pony' mods, but generally I find the trick with mods I'm not interested in is to not download them on to my computer and then install and play them.

 

Personally I like nude mods and I wouldn't say I was particularly perverted. I have also done life drawing (both genders!) several times though, so perhaps I am actually a debauched Caligula-esque monster who will stop at nothing in search of excitement.

My intention is to keep a list, which add realism, better textures, and improve the gaming experience.

 

If the adult mods has a specific purpose, then I will add it to the list. For example, buying sex adds realism to game.
