Xenoic
So im not sure if its a problem with the Fallout 4 quick loot mod or UIO or whatever but when I installed the quick loot mod whenever i try to open the vanilla inventory through the transfer key or open the companion inventory or try to buy from a vendor, the inventory screen doesnt show and i cant exit it. Also i have tried without quickloot and the inventory is still gone so im not sure what happened there. (Btw the game CTD once when i tried to transfer and that UIO has given me a huge pain in the ass even though its suppose to make my job easier.)Also attached screenshots even though i have no idea to make them smaller or bigger. dubiousintent
Take a look at this wiki article and see if it doesn't shed some light on your menu problem. Double check that you have the correct versions of all three of the required supplementary components installed as well. If you do, then check the logs generated by both NVSE and JIP. They are found in the game root folder. -Dubious-
Xenoic
Well i found the logs and it seems my inventory_menu.xml file is still there so it cant be that but it could be a different missing xml file but im not sure which one it is. Also im very sure that i have the latest versions of the mods.(Had to turn the logs from .log to .txt to attach to here) Edited July 7, 2016 by Xenoic
Xenoic
I wonder if i should delete the menu folder then disable the menu mods then verify my game cache and hope it replaces the missing file and then maybe re-enable the mods and hope it fixes it.(Assuming that im either missing the inventory menu xml file that allows me to see the inventory or i have a wrong xml file.) dubiousintent
I don't see anything wrong in either log. I do see that you have Steam installed in "C:\Program Files(x86)" (which incidentallly means you have a 64-bit version of Windows). This causes "strange problems" because as part of it's "protection" mechanism, everything installed after the initial installation is actually placed in a hidden "shadow file" that resides in your "Users" area. It's done this since Vista. Games in general (and Fallout in particular) don't always know how to deal with that situation properly. The result is that you may be seeing the original "inventory_menu.xml" file but the mod's version is in the shadow file and it isn't getting to it. Only by comparing the two files (the one in the archive and the one you see on disk) will you know for sure. Regardless, pretty much everyone troubleshooting games these days will tell you to move Steam (or at least your current game) out of the "C:\Program Files" folder tree. It's a pain, but resolves a lot of mystery problems. See the "Installing Games on Windows Vista+" article in my signature. It has a link to the official Steam guide for moving it's location. (Yet another confirmation this is an issue and solution.) You can still use your current save games (under the "Users" tree) after moving Steam. But there are no shortcuts: you have to reinstall the game so it updates the registry correctly. -Dubious- Edited July 7, 2016 by dubiousintent

So far it looks very promising. Edited July 7, 2016 by Xenoic

dubiousintent
Try uninstalling Steam through the control panel, then rebooting, before you attempt to re-install. Also, make sure you set the permissions on the root of your new partition (or at least the "Games" folder) to give your "Everybody" accounts "full control" privileges BEFORE you attempt to install. That way the privileges will propagate downward correctly. -Dubious- Edited July 7, 2016 by dubiousintent
Xenoic
So i cant seem to find steam in the control panel... Also i forgot to mentions all the steam games' icons are gone and are all blank pages but the games work just fine. Should i try to manually uninstall?
