Eirikr121
I just wonder if the mods works with the steam downloaded version of the game? if it doesn't i'll buy the cd version or i'll try to find another online seller, if anyone knows one which sells skyrim i'm intersted (because in any case steam is not very easy to use)thanks in advance for answers. Fatalmasterpiece
You will have to use Steam either way. It won't make a difference.

aradinn
you CAN play without using steam, you just need it to unlock the encryption. you can still find the skyrim.exe in the steamapps/common folder and run it offline.
Fatalmasterpiece
There's no legal way of playing without activating through Steam. However once you do so you can turn Steam to offline mode and essentially play without it.
ddwmk2002
I been playing fallout new vegas, fallout 3, oblivion all on steam and i installed so many mods until my game could crash within 5 mins of booting up, (fixed it in the end) so yeah to answer your question, unless they majorly change the system, mods should still be installable on steam, if i remember correctly its in your "steamapps" folder, thats steam-apps, not steam-maps. dont get it wrong
