Need help with random CTDs

Hello. I have been experiencing CTDs in and around Whiterun, and sometimes randomly out in the open. I have checked the load order with LOOT, cleaned ITMs with TES5Edit, removed conflicting mods (some were kind of experimental anyway). I have unistalled and reinstalled several times, verified the game cache through Steam, and searched all over the internet for the solution to my problem. Everything I've tried either cuts down the CTDs for a brief period of time, or increased their occurance.

I'm currently using an MSI Apache GE72 with GPU: Nvidia GTX 960m; CPU: i7-5700HQ; 16 GB RAM; all on Win 10. I don't know what other information I can provide... Thanks in advance for your time.

I am relatively new to using mods, everything I have done so far is from trying fixes made by people who are better at it than me... I think I spend more time investigating possible issues than I spend playing the game at the moment...

 

Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have Papyrus logs? They may say exactly who the offender is.

I'm not sure how effective that script cleaner is, but it does get a lot of love and I assume you got problems with the game before using it.

 

For me LOOT sorts SkyUI before Dual Sheath Redux. Not sure why that'd be different, is your LOOt up to date?

I tried Papyrus one time before, but it was still in my early troubleshooting days... I forgot the name to it, but I will try it again. Yeah, I was having a HUGE CTD issue before trying that script cleaner, it solved a lot of issues for me.

 

I updated LOOT to its newest version a few days ago. I'll look into the SkyUI thing if Papyrus doesn't pull anything up.

I finally got a log to generate, there a a LOT of errors, I think I may have to start anew with my game.

It looks like I may have made a HUGE mistake while cleaning with TES5Edit, I have to learn more... Thought I had it figured out. :pinch:

 

This is very complicated to me... is it new game material? I know that Helgen Reborn and Hearthfires Multiple Adoptions both say that they have to be present upon starting a new game, but HRB activated at start glitches my game. I'm not sure what to do here, can I beg your assistance one more time?

I will try to help tomorrow. I will say I added Helgen Reborn mid-game and it's worked fine so far and I've done most of it.

 

Is this log from a crash? I don't look at Papyrus logs much but it looks messy, but working, as I understand it. If that's not post-CTD could you please play until you get a CTD and share the fresh log? The end of the log should help indicate why the CTD occurred.

Maybe I'm just too unfamiliar with papyrus logs to help but as far as I can tell it's not logged there. What I pasted just shows a 32 minute jump that doesn't indicate anything to me.

 

Does LOOT give any warnings that may be indicative?

No warnings through loot as far as I can tell... Maybe this is just one of those things? Sometimes my disk usage would max out and cause a crash before I followed someone's directions to make it use GPU instead of CPU, I also can't use any ENBs or texture enhancer packs without massive FR loss despite the size of my GPU... Maybe its just something up with my laptop... I'll do some more research, then probably chalk it up to inexperience and go back to quicksaving every time I do something.
