Nebrule
I'm sure there will be a mod for this sooner or later, if there's not one already(if there is i can't find it). I'd like to raise the amount of gold the vendors carry... I'd say 10 times as much. i was wandering if there's a way this can be done through the console or if there is a mod out there yet? SHIROryuu
Do you really need to? I don't find myself desperate for vender gold. They usually have thousands from me lol. Do you loot bodies? Do you fight many giants or dragons?
KingGsterUK
Hmm. If you don't have your speech perks and don't mind to cheat a little you could use the console to give you those perks which should ease your suffering.
SHO3LACE
I can see why you are asking for this. It took me an hour last night just to vendor all the items I had collected in just 6 hours of game play. All the waiting that has to be done just for them to only have 750 gold again. Something to ease your pain in the meantime, every time you wait 48 hours buy his new useful potions that you like and his arrows too, this will set you up better for playing and of course give him more gold to sell stuff with. SHIROryuu
Hmm. Just my opinion... I think the market in the game is good, until you factor in looted gold. Each place works as it should, you spend gold and make gold. Only so much gold in the world after all. Of course then you get loot. You can loot the same chest countless times as it respawns, in many cases gold going up to match your level(I've looted a chest with 7 gold, came back to it to find 150 gold), not to mention AI loot. On average I collect 8000 gold an hour just messing around. Fighting dragons and such. As I said it's just my opinion and I'm sure a good mod, will and can be made to balance Skyrims fiances. In which ever direction the player wants. I think the thread would be more useful if it was placed in the modding section though. Someone is more likely to be interested or have the skills to do so there. Edited November 17, 2011 by SHIROryuu
saldu
Fast travelling to a distant location 2-3 times is much quicker than using wait for 48h. I only found vendor gold to be a problem when I still took every crappy item with me. Now I only take things with weight:price ratio of at least 1:10. I also recently acquired 50 speech skill, and got the perk that allows me to sell any item to any merchant. I only had problems with selling potions before, though, as I needed the general vendor for everything the smith doesn't buy, leaving only the alchemic vendor with her measly 500 gold to buy potions. Do you fight many giants or dragons? If you have 100 Smithing (which is pathetically easy to get) and get the armor perks, you'll have the potential to make thousands more money than any merchant has to offer. Even more if you dish up some Enchanting alongside it. I've found the merchants (especially the magic ones) never have nearly enough money for the items I'm selling. I can make several thousand gold just from farming Dwarven gear (so easy to get the ingots for this). Even more from farming dragons and taking their hides. The only thing that limits me is weight (there's a mod for that) and the amount of gold the suckers have.

What you need to have 100000 gold 10 hours into gameplay? I can't see how you could spam your smithing skill without the money to do so. Mining, loot, stealing can't offer the tens of thousands of gold it takes to level it. Even if you just buy materials for Iron daggers and spam it's going to cost a number of gold. Even with speech skills. Which can take even longer to build... Do some quests. I know of a certain guild that rewards you with 20000 gold after you finish it.(Remain unsaid for spoilers) I understand the need for greed (lol), just have to put some effort into the game. Isn't that why you play it? Edited November 17, 2011 by SHIROryuu
MrTastix
Oh, I don't care for having thousands of coins on my person at any one time, I was just pointing out the obvious. My only real issue is that I can accumulate much wealth when going dungeon-crawling, but only sell a few pieces of the items. This isn't an issue normally, but when the crap you're carrying weighs half a bloody ton then it can get really annoying.
