Alternate start poblem Skyrim.

Any one having a problem with Alternate start . load up new game . new mods load fine game runs OK .load out game will not reload . from alternate start master load or any of the saves. , So got a sort of way of restarting game I do not delete the master load save file I restart new game and load from the saves where game loads from the master saves .Game runs ok runs fine OK no problem . Re start the game have to delete the last new save - game , re start skyrim from last save flie game again ok loads runs no problem .I have deleted every thing re turned Skyrim to vinailla checked replaced misssing files run skyrim from back of carriage start from steam . re installed skse. All mods un installed Vr files deleted mods deleted cleaned out every thing .Dont know what the problem is ..If I restrat game it load up to the screen load . files master and not one of the saves will load unless I start a new game then run the old saves from the new start . I have played the game past getting the three shouts run all DLCs ok all load , game can be played .Even running FNIS flyer no problems ran game with different amounts of Mods ranging from 160 to 8o installed Oh I have to delete the last alternative start re run from new re start but I have not deleted the alternate master start save if you do game will not re start what ever you do or try .

Start skyrim up I get to the load screen new game , load save 1 that boots to the alternate start where the mod loads to the abandond prison where you get the option on how to ecape , pick option how to leave the prison hunter vampire own a proprerty bandit ect. I load up into the game check the Mods I have installed are correct start running around wepons out killing . Say I go to Whiterun go into Whiterun my game saves .So I boot out of the game to my desktop but when I try to load back into the game pick the save for Whiterun get black screen and I am looking at my desktop .BUt if I start a new game selecting new start a new abandon prison then load an old save save from the last time I ran skyrim the game loads up and I carry on running around Whiterun , game runs as if nothing is wrong .IF I try to load Whiterun from autosave 1 ess save 1 Abandonprison ess game will not start .iF I run from abandon prison save 5 ess then pick a save to start say save 3 skyrim ess skse my game will load up that save and I carry on from where I left the game .I can play skyrim . The save that would not load up now loads up . It strange .

You are somehow creating corrupted save game files. The most common cause is uninstalling mods and continuing to play using the same character. Another common cause is loading saved games after having already been playing. Never use the "quit to main menu" option and then load another game. Always quit all the way to the desktop and then load a saved game as the first action.

 

If you're using Alternate Start - Live Another Life you should start a new game, activate the statue and sleep in the bed (or use the lockpicks to escape if you choose that option). The first save for that character will be created automatically for you. Do not make a save of your own before leaving the Abandoned Prison.

Thanks for the help wil try the lock pick way of escaping and the bed sleep . I also looked at the Alternate start issues , It states Forsworn mods may not be compatible with alternate start so this may also be part of the problem and I have three installed as I wanted to play as a Forsworn .Thank you both for your help really.appreciated .

I use the "Skyrim Unbound" mod instead.
