New modder learning the ropes.

Good evening here,

 

My name's Waldo,

 

I'm a PC gamer and a new modded gameplayer. I figured I'd start asking questions since the new CK came out and there's no one around to help me out so that's why I'm starting my first thread here to introduce myself and get some help with modding. I have ideas and I wanna try them out but I need to learn a lot to be able to mod what I want to do for Fallout 4. Since this is a intro post I will not ask questions just yet but I just wanna make my presence known and my intentions on this forum so that I can be guided. 9 years served in the Army, US. I live in Yuma, AZ. My favorite type of games so far are the Bethesda/Zenimax games and then FFXIV. I used to have my own record label that was half way put together but I shut it down. I'm mostly an entrepreneur but now since I'm retired I spend the rest of my time playing Fallout 4 these days. Thanks for letting me on this forum...

Hi. Put a mod on your game with a plugin.

 

Then u gotta look a what the mod does. in the game.

 

Load the plugin in the geck and look for the entries that have an asterisk by em. Also open the plugin in fo4edit cause that way you can see the entries organized alot better.

 

Then you look online searching for the different sections where u find the entries in to learn about what those are for and u get the picture of how to make stuff for yourself.
