teratino
What's your CPU? Today i discovered that the low fps problem is due to CPU and not your graphic card...i have q6600 processor and HD4850 card..Also have 2gb ddr2 ram @800Mhz...Until today i was playing on XP and my fps was 15-30 on medium/high...Today i decided to install win7 and to oc the processor to 3Ghz...The improvement was large!...i now have 30-40 in cities and 50 and more outside on ultra/max(i'm using only 2x AA cause i don't need anymore it's perfectly fine like this..also FXAA disabled)...<3...I've read somewhere that Skyrim uses cpu to render shadows that could be the problem..some say that skyrim uses only 2 cores but with +fullproc skyrim uses 100% on all my cores...So that's my conclusion...Your graphic card is sufficient enough to run skyrim (i mean 5850 is better than 4850, and i didn't oc mine), it's in your processor probably...also if you have xp/vista upgrade to 7 it'll improve your performance ^^ Edited November 18, 2011 by teratino
