thebecoming
I am playing on a macbook which has a trackpad that doesn't allow for both mouse buttons to be pressed at the same time. I see that I can change the M1 and M2 keys to some other set of keys entirely and thus hit both to dualcast, but it's much harder to play if I can't use the trackpad buttons. Does anyone know if there are ways around this, to perhaps select a key that is used *only* for dualcasting while retaining the original M1 and M2 key assignments? Thanks in advance
Demonmustang
on any kind of laptop my best suggestion would be to buy a cheap 20 dollar wired mouse to play. TES on a laptop is death without a real mouse. Trust me I played about halfway through both Morrowind, and Oblivion on an old (newer at the time) Toshiba Satellite and I finally just said "screw it". Never played them again for about a year until I got around to buying a desktop. hehe Edited November 18, 2011 by Demonmustang
thebecoming
Thanks for the tip, and while I do have a mouse, I'm comfortable just sticking with the trackpad, as dualcasting is the only real reason I would need to use it for this game. Thus, it makes for a frustrating handicap that forces my character to prefer stabbing things instead of burning them hadouken-style. Does anyone else have any other ideas? Thanks again. You could try using AutoHotKeys : it's a freeware that gives you control over what input your computer receives when you press a key or a mouse button. Edit : I also found this while browsing mods : http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/465131-mousepad-prevents-dualcasting/page__gopid__3839906#entry3839906 Edited November 19, 2011 by Biales

I was going to link to it here when I found out about it; on another forum, someone posted a simple script that uses the 'b' button-- which can be easily be changed to other keys like the 'x' key (my preference)-- to simulate depressing both mouse buttons: http://forums.bethsoft.com/index.php?/topic/1279297-one-key-dual-cast-macro/ Thanks for the advice
