Option to lower combat difficulty in Survival Mode?

I know it's a strange request, but i really like the need to take care of your character in survival mode. It's the combat that really breaks it for me though. Since the combat isn't that good and the damage enemies does to you is insane in my opinion.

 

Would something like this be possible? Would really appreciate if some mod would just turn down the combat difficulty in survival. Like an extra option under the standard difficulty options for combat difficulty.
