Textures inside BA2 files not loading

For some reason, it seems that textures inside BA2 files from mods are not always loading. It is odd as I could load them fine and then, from the 2nd of July on textures from inside the BA2 looked like this:

And when looking at them from a certain distance, they look fine:

Loading the mod using loose files, solves the problem but I want to know if there is another way of solving this issue and being able of using BA2 files.

 

That happened after some of the latests updates of eihter the game or the CK (the one that took place before the 2nd of July), I don't know if that is related or not or it is related to the size of the save game or to anything else.

It is not related to the graphic card drivers as I tried going back to a previous version and the problem persists.

Are the textures Optimized?

 

you don't want to compress Optimized textures. They are already compressed when optimized, placing them into a "archive" further compresses them.

The engine updates are to use optimizations before hand.

 

So things Optimized and compressed will be invisible in game where NON-optimized compressed data will show up in game.

 

the game is hunting for data as your shot clearly shows.

Purr4me, they are dds files, compressed in either the DXT1 format for diffuse and BC5 for the normal and the specular ones. I think that is the formats used by vanilla textures which are inside BA2 files.

 

Koiwe, the BA2 files are for PC, not for Xbox. The compression is different. Unless the CK is bugged and now cormpresses everything into Xbox format even though you select it is for PC ... :S

 

What I don't understand is that it worked fine before with exactly the same textures compressed in the same way. Maybe it is the CK, then?

During the packaging of the textures, were you online with the CK hooked into Bethesda's system? because you need to be if you used it as a creator for the archives.

 

If not? then the data is corrupted as of today.

BAE, user made tools will no longer work as designed due to updates of the CK software, they are making changes so other systems will be accommodated "Play Station systems"

 

you can no longer package any mods Offline with this game.

Ah, really? I created them with the CK but offline. And after that I logged in and uploaded the mod. I am going to try recreating the files while online and see if that fixes it!
