BloodLX99
Greetings! First off I'd like to apologize if any of these suggestions have already been made. This is just a mental list of things I thought would make good mods as I played through the game. I'll try to keep it concise. Better House/Thane Benefits:-You pay 35,000 gold to buy and decorate your house in Solitude. Yes, it looks pretty but perhaps there should be more you could benefit from since 95% of the time for most players is spent out doing more adventuring. Could be something simple like reduced prices in that town, or perhaps a small personal buff depending on where you buy the house. Marriage:-Sort of on the same lines as the House/Thane, I was thinking depending on whom you marry, you get a small buff. If it is someone you can travel with as a companion, perhaps they also get a buff as well. Increased Level Cap:-Self explanatory. Perhaps if you double the cap make it slightly easier to gain levels (I know some of you want the complete opposite). More Smithing Options:-My particular thoughts were the ability to smith Arrows. This would also be a good way for someone to add in new armors (non enchanted) by making them extra additions to the different smithing types. Also, Dragon Weapons would be a fantastic Mod! Remove Enchantments on Items:-As a Smith, it was annoying to have to make whole new sets of armor or weapons if I screwed up. The ability to spend a soul gem to remove the enchantments on an item would be really helpful. It would also be cool to remove enchants from special items (like the Dark Brotherhood armors) so that master craftsmen can tailor them to their own characters better. Change Armor Types:-Perhaps as a smithing / enchanting bonus. I had this idea when I wished that the Dark Brotherhood cloth helm was actually considered light armor (looks a hundred times better). Better Skill Tree Perk Bonuses:-Some of the last perks/talents for some of the trees were not that great, or didn't function well. The end of the stealth tree was one of the ones that was only good if your stealth was around 200 (100 + item enchants). Also, light armor's wasn't worth the point because it only did 10% on melee, which is rather weak when you consider how much non-melee you end up fighting. Better Shout Cooldowns:-Some of the shout cooldowns were a bit heinous. Would be a nice simple mod to have them adjusted so your don't feel like you can never use them. Follower Equipping Improvements:-Some of the followers in the game have a hard time choosing what to equip. My example is Aela the Huntress who chooses to use her standard (No Bow Equipped) bow over a 250 smithing skill improved Daedric Bow. I'll continue to add more as I think of them. Big thanks to all the modders out there who put in a lot of hard work to make these games better! And of course to Bethesda for making Skyrim almost perfect from the get go!
