thecatsme0w
Hi all, I fell in love with the Apron of Adroitness (http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Apron_of_Adroitness) from Oblivion. It looks a LOT like a traditional Norse woman's outfit (http://www.revivalclothing.com/10th-11thcearlymedievalvikingaprondress.aspx). My Nord warrior used it as her shopping dress when running errands in the Imperial City or visiting castles. I bet I'm not the only immersion geek who'd love a more historically accurate wardrobe too!
runestyr
I hadn't thought about it before, but there is a superficial resemblance between the ES4 apron and the historical dress...probably why the style is called the "apron dress." But the Apron of Adroitness is missing important features like the brooches and beads, that clearly identify a Norse woman 9th-11th Century. I have cast brooches like that out of bronze in the real world, maybe I can do it in the virtual world. I'll play with it this weekend in Oblivion (where all the tools already exist) and see what can be done.
thecatsme0w
That would be super awesome! My SCA persona is Norse and I have a complete set of jewelry for her :)
runestyr
If anyone besides Cat was interested in this mod, we're in beta testing now. There's only so much we can do with a simple re-texture, but it's coming along. image attached
