gun showing as invisible until I attach mods

I have a gun mod that I have been working on and when ever it spawns in the game its invisible. I think it has something to do with the default mods not attaching to it. If i go to a work bench I can attach the standard mod and when I do that I can then see the gun. I am not sure how to fix this. Any ideas?

So if anyone else in the future has this problem this if the way to fix it.

 

Not sure how to do this in the creation kit but in the FO4Edit you have to scroll down until you see keywords in the left column.

 

Then a line that reads something like if_tmp_Random [KYWD:001642A6]. The number in the [] might be different depending on what your doing.

 

Just under that you will see in the left column Includes than under that you will see a branch off that says include #0.

 

In that column you have to add the modcol of the item that you want your gun or item to spawn with.

 

So if your using a laser gun you would type modcol_LaserGun_LaserReceivers_Any [OMOD:001879D6].

 

Really if you want to save time just copy one from another mod and just write over the ID number. In this case it would be the 001879D6. If you over write that number it will change the modcol_LaserGun_LaserReceivers_Any to what ever the new number is reflecting.

 

Hope that makes since.

 

Also if anyone knows how to do this in the creation kit I would be very happy to learn how to do this in there. Right now it seems to me that the creation kit is lacking in terms of what the edit can do.
