truthowl
When out exploring or questing I often run out of space and offload some of my loot to my companion. But then when I get back to Sanctuary or else where to deal with my loot I have to be careful of what I take off everyone. It gets a little tiresome transferring their gear back to them then re-equipping it. Is there a Mod that locks certain items in an inventory? Or maybe makes it so that equipped items cannot be transferred?

Well, you need to use the CK / Fallout 4 version of the GECK as it may be refereed too. Some things mean you need to know what they are and how they are used. Current quest items can not be used, there are bonus items best left alone. Some items are also scripted less being quest items, those you can suppose are "Bonus items". .../ earned. So, the ck is best used. Companion mods are differently looked upon, those are set on build of the companion mod it's self. In a companion mod, the items will be in a FIXED menu and not transferable, you can't share the items, and you must make sure they are unique to them alone. You can not take it from their inventory. Use of the ck places all (data) related to that item specifically used; you can not add them via console or use 3rd party tools to enable them. Data needed are not available via 3rd party usages. Some data will most defiantly be "NOT" there so when a companion traverses through cells with you, the data gets removed, can cause problems with the games engine. You build the mod to your specific needs.
Purr4me
How do you set items as quest for a companion?NOTE: this is rather an open ended question and leads to places as to "Educate" on the use of the CK, a place I am not interested in going too.So be for warned. In the ck while open to the companions inventory sheet, you set it as (...) and test it. New gen operates differently as before / earlier versions of this old method. To Build an AI type of mod in this game? There lies a very little incentive for Advanced modding. So I am apologist in advance. Nuka ruined it for me. I can do it with just the main master but won't do it for DLC content. Bethesda screwed it all up...Badly.
