BinaryMessiah
It seems since day 1 the textures looking low res no matter what has never gone away for me. I have the latest ENB installed correctly and the launcher is set to Ultra, but the texture still look ugly and muddy. I've Googled this many times and can't find any recent articles unless a patch fixed this long ago for most people. Anyone have any ideas? I'm currently running with 16GB of RAM, GTX 970 and an Intel i7 4770.

Purr4me
Back up the only shader package the game came with and substitute it with one from any other game that fits. It looks like the direct-x packages are arguing with the ENB file, a mismatch so shader is not working, it is defaulting.

Purr4me
Do you mind elaborating a little? I'm not quite sure what you're talking about.one moment, I'll throw together a screen shot showing where the data is located.you (might ) even be able to use skyrims shaders.-----------------------------bellow is a shot of what the game came with ,as you can see ,there isn't much there to work with. ENB's use 3d39.dll as a medium for use with the systems Direct-x software, this in turn uses the games "shaders" as a source medium. Fallout for is rather lacking in that department. nothing like Skyrims or previous renditions of their games. So,Either you need to tweak your graphics software used by the video card...I am guessing you have already, the ini files."not recommended"; OR you use different software to accommodate this lacking of software the game came with. BinaryMessiah
I see the file, but what do I do with it? I've never messed with a ba2 file or shaders. Is there a program I use to extract one from Skyrim and put it in Fallout 4?

It's usually not needed unless you handpicking textures which I don't have the patience or time to do. So I use BSA browser to extract the shader from Skyrim and I have a shadersfx folder with the shader in it. Do I put this in the Data folder for Fallout 4? I tried that and nothing changed in the game, or do I have to put it inside the BA2 file? Edited July 12, 2016 by Ivory_Soul
