malkion
Get this, I can install Horse Armor Pack.exe, Knights of the Nine.exe, Mehrunes Razor.exe, Orrery.exe, Spell Tomes.exe, Thieves Den.exe, Vile Lair.exe, Wizard's Tower.exe and of course Shivering Isles along with obmm and the slew of standard mods. I can not install any version of TESCS nor Fighter's Stronghold. System Specs NVIDIA 122-CK-NF68 mobo w Phoenix Tech bios 6.00Intel Core 2 CPU 6000 @ stock 2.4 GhzWindows XP currently SP1 only (testing Oblivion)2 GB RAMRealtek on board sound The standard stuff. Want other info, lemme know. This is really aggravating however, I really need to get into the Construction Set. I am desperate. Heheh
TheTerminator2004
Huh. That is strange. The only things I can think of that might prevent you from installing the CS are either Vista-related, or affect all the DLCs too. I really haven't got a clue what could be the problem, sorry. malkion
I've solved it. I read and reread the fax, could not figure it out. I looked at my task manager and could not find ctfmon.exe running. So I went to system32, manually ran ctfmon.exe, then closed it in task manager. Both the fighter's stronghold and TESCS installed like a charm. CTFMON.EXE was the culprit afterall, but it wasn't even loaded in ready memory. F*cking strange, but that was the only issue listed for donwloadable contents. Of course I tried the clean boot routine, but it didn't work. Either way, I'm happy again. TheTerminator2004
Well, glad you fixed it! :) I'll have to remember the problem in case anyone else has it. :)
malkion
Yeah, try to remember it. I dunno what on my end causes it, but it may be the NVIDIA motherboard I use. Didn't have this problem before on the old computer until I upgraded the mobo to allow for gfx card to be upgraded to PCIe 16.
