RenegadeRNG
Alright, my Skyrim modding experience has never been a walk in the park, when I get my Skyrim mod conflicts sorted out it'd be my computer's turn to make my life miserable. The ProblemYesterday, I decided to restart my Skyrim play-through for the umpteenth time only this time with as less mods as possible so that I don't get sidetracked (I haven't even seen the main quest through to the end.) After about a week of tormenting decisions I settled on a modest number of mods and Skyrim was working flawlessly (I was surprised too.) I played a good 6 hours yesterday and still working well. So today again I hopped into Skyrim at the earliest possible opportunity... and suddenly the sounds seemed muted none of the audio settings were changed from yesterday. When I spoke to an NPC it sounded like he was talking from the bottom of a well. I reset skyrim's preferences and settings, restored my realtek config to default, but no hope. What I managed to figure outThen I noticed something wrong with my headphones. When I click the test button in the speaker config instead of it being "left chime on left speaker" then "right chime on right speaker" I get both chimes on both speakers simultaneously. i.e. for left chime both speakers output sound, same for the right chime. And i also seems to have a certain bit of lag between the speakers too, giving an illusion of echo. The PleaI don't know if this is a sound card issue or something else, I just want to fix this
