ell46
I'm going to post this question here, so people can turn it into a spoiler if they want/need to. From what I've read the romance in SR is rubbish compare to what was in DAO. So my question is, can you have romance in the game without all the marriage stuff? Handofbane
Short answer: not really.Long answer: nothing in game really seems to imply any kind of romance or relationships beyond a comrade-in-arms or grateful-you-helped-them-advance-their-life/quest. The marriages are pretty stiff, though they did add at least some "welcome home, dear" vocals. You will have to wait for mods, and hope someone like LlamaRCA hops over from New Vegas to create a Skyrim version of Willow (other modders did very well back in Oblivion, but that was just the most recent and well supported example I have seen personally). ell46
Thanks it will save me sitting here wondering if I should or should not have got/done something and I'll definitely be giving the amulet and romance a miss. I just want a decent companion. As a female gamer, I find all the men dirty, ugly and sound like they only have half a brain sell between them as for Lydia the soon she gets killed the better, it's like have Barbie tagging along behind with her bored yawning and stupid little 'Ooo' sounds, she drives me to distraction. elpemmy
Since I heard it was relatively easy to add NPCs to the marry-able list, it probably wouldn't be that hard to mod a character with some better dialogue. I'd do it, but I'm really not up for voice acting :P
