BinaryNinja
HiI want edit one modi found field and value what i need to change by Skyrim Vinever but i cant (but i dont know how?) a lot of peaple use FOMM but it need fallout i want any other way From what I understand you can still use FOMM without Fallout 3, you just need to make the proper folder and create a text file called fallout3.exe to trick it into thinking you have it. MShoap13
You'll also need to create spoof text files with the names of the files it's looking for, in the locations it's looking for them to be in. When you try to start FOMM it should come up with a "can't find this file at this location" error. Use that to know what to name the dummy files and where to place them. Tip: I believe Fallout3.exe and FOMM need to go in your \Skyrim\ folder (where Skyrim.exe is). Hope this helps, I tried this, but once I got all the dummy files in place, it still had an unhandled exception when trying to open plugins. It's working for some people though. sethyo
Can you put a video up to show me how to do this --> You'll also need to create spoof text files with the names of the files it's looking for, in the locations it's looking for them to be in. As i don't know whats what with your description (i am quite new to modding) I would be very great full. MShoap13
Sure can't... I don't have any recording software, nor is it really necessary. 1)Download FOMM and place it in your \Skyrim\ directory2)Go ahead and make a new (empty!) .txt file and name it "Fallout.exe" also place that in the \Skyrim\ directory3)Try to run FOMM4)When it displays an error message memorize/write down/whatever the file path and file it says it can't find5)Make a .txt file, name it what FOMM is looking for and place it in the location it's looking in6)Repeat from step 3 until it works7)FOMM still crashes with an unhandled exception when trying to open Skyrim.esm (For me, a lot of people are seeing success with this method. I have a feeling it's because I'm on XP x64) Edited November 25, 2011 by MShoap13

headbomb
I'm running into a weird problem (both with TESSnip and FNVEdit). If I want to edit say the Sinderion's Tome (ID 0010BEDF), it lists all the properties. However, two fields seem corrupt FULL - NAME "2"andDESC - Description "W"(The forums doesn't seem to paste those accurately (I see 2 rightarrow, and W rightarrow).) Where I'd expect something likeFULL - NAME "The Nirnroot Missive"DESC - Description "Blah blah blah" Any idea for how to fix this?

Zilvereyes
Help? Those two are string ID's (if you found em inside Skyrim.esm), but if you create your own .esp you'll need to type in the strings not the sting ID's. Hope this helps. Yours trulyZilvereyes
