Sivos909
It just kind of annoys me in a bit that when I sheathe my weapons, the off-hand weapon vanishes. So, this would be going on a more realistic form that the off-hand would just appear on your belt as the main-hand would, but on the opposite side. However, I realize there is a minor problem that you may be able to fix. If you were to wield an axe in your main-hand and a sword in your off, they would both appear on the same side (because axes sheathe on the right side and swords on the left). A way to fix that, if possible, is you could make it appear like how a Samurai would carry two or three katanas (over lapping on the same side). I say that in case it might replace one with the other (such as the axe vanishes from the belt once you sheathe the sword). I just think this idea may bring more realism into the game, not to mention it would look cool when you see your character in 3rd person, lol. I'm sure this was already on someone's mind to start on once the Mod Creator is released (if it's not already). Also, if this idea was already posted, sorry for adding another and if you could please point me to the original post.
Shantih
This is annoying when in third person. Frankly I don't think we are meant to spend too much time in third person because there are many things that simply don't look right when in third person. If you use the console to have a look at your character (for free camera type "tfc") you will see all the clipping that happens when weapons are drawn (it gets really worse with dual wielding). It's not game breaking but still... In any case having the off hand weapon show up would definitely be an improvement.

Yeah I agree that might have been the intention, try playing the game in 3rd person for a bit if you haven't already. Much bigger improvement than Oblivion, lol. Dual wield fighting in 3rd is kind of cool to watch; shooting a bow is pretty interesting as well.

I don't notice those imperfections too much as stated by the OP, but the improvements requested would be really nice. Not trying to hi-jack your thread, but while we're talking about sheathed weapons. How about having favorite weapons sheathed as well (multiple weapons on the hero)? I don't know if this has been stated. IE: Bow in the back appears, 2-hander appears, and the 1-handers. (assuming you're going nuts to be a weapons master, but I've been using my bow 90 percent of the time with any far off enemies as a assassin/thief). Rickky
I was thinking the sheat the girl in this photo was quite interesting, whenever the mod kit is released. Not quite sure how the second weapon will work though, since I'm pretty sure bethesda will fix the issue with the second weapon in the upcoming patch, but I thought it looked interesting and would love to have this made. Possibly even with a small animation when sheathing your weapons, and of course while running/sneaking/walking etc. http://www.gamerboobs.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/OnechanbaraBikiniSamuraiSquad_Aya-531x630.jpg Edited November 20, 2011 by Rickky

bishoplight
This greatly bugs me too! I always play in 3rd Person, and this is one of the things that make no sense to way they weren't fixed before launch. Hope we can fix this soon! Why it wasn't fixed before launch: The testers where reporting much greater problems. The testers didn't care enough. The programmers didn't care about the testers' suggestions. The programmers had more pressing matters. The reasons are limited, I may be missing one or two reasons but one way or another it is surprising that they didn't do a number of things; better textures being one of them. They must have had funding issues as I see it; also hard to imagine.
Rickky
You ever wonder how that heavy sword manages to hang on the waist? Seriously, that's what you point out? I meant the way she have her swords, and I wouldn't ask for a 100% copy either, just the idea of it. And I wouldn't spend hours drawing up an idea people "apparantly" think is stupid. So I think I saved myself a little time there.
