tstranko
I've had the game for 5 days and have been tweeking setting and googling for people with simlar problem to see if could find a solution to no avail so hoping for some ideas! Whether I start playing at high, medium, or low settings...whether I have AA off or on...whether I have shadows high or low....etc etc I get the same problem. The game loads and plays fine so about 1 minute and then lags like crazy and never recovers unless I restart the game or actually I have to restart the computer. It almost reminds me of a game I played years ago that had a memory leak issue for aboutt a week cause I got the same effect then. All drivers are Up-to-date & defraged my computer and here's my computer specs. Intel Core2 Duo P8700 @2.53GHz6GB RAMGeForce GTX 260M any help is appreciated cause I know this isnt the strongest gaming computer but runs other games perfectly and should be able to handle this on low at least... thanks

Rennn
Do you enter many buildings within that time? Does your framerate get worse if you just stand in one place?
tstranko
Do you enter many buildings within that time? Does your framerate get worse if you just stand in one place? I cant even get out of the first building...i guess its sort of the intro where you follow the guy and pick up gear along the way. I'm perfect for about a minute each time til a fight starts then the lag is so bad I cant really move. If i restart the game then it stays just as bad but if reboot my computer then it is good for another minute until a fight again. Thats why i said it reminds me of a memory leak issue. This is on low settings too with low shadows and AA turned off Edited November 20, 2011 by tstranko
xorterenshe
This is similar to an issue I'm having, and I've had a forum post on here for a while, but still no luck. Only difference is I dont have to restart my computer to fix the lag. But it only runs fine for about 5 minutes before becoming unplayable. If I had had ANY other problem with this game, it would have been fine... but we had to get the one un-solvable game-breaking problem. It must be a memory leak... I'd think. Do you have Win 7 64-bit, by any chance? Edited November 21, 2011 by xorterenshe

It is acting exactly like a memory leak cause I've experienced them before but why would it be affecting certain people and not other people if thats what it is??? It is acting exactly like a memory leak cause I've experienced them before but why would it be affecting certain people and not other people if thats what it is??? The fact it's happening to only some people is what bothered me as well. But, from what I've seen, everyone it is happening to has Win 7 64-bit and a GeForce GTX 200M series graphics card.
