Michlo
My feller married this feller: http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Angrenor_Once-Honored. Mostly because I had the amulet on as I was curious about marriage and then forgot about it and he became the first feller to flirt with me. heh. He has no option to become a companion but that's fine as I prefer him at home looking after the place and being a ready blood supply. ;) It really is a basic, flawed system, though. We can't even give them better clothes without using the console. Ugh. I'm happy that they included the same sex option, however. Cheers.
ShadowscaleB1980
It really is a basic, flawed system, though. We can't even give them better clothes without using the console. Ugh. I'm happy that they included the same sex option, however. I Agree, I find it particularly frustrating that we cannot choose what equipment out partners wear. It is a basic system, but it's a start and I'm sure modders will be able to make a few improvements.I get the impression Bethesda left same sex marriage in because it would have taken extra time for them to code in the gender restrictions to prevent the player from marrying the same sex. In effect Bethesda gets to be lazy on coding which just happens to make them look good to the gay community it's a win=win situation for them. My male character married Farkas. That bit about him being afraid of spiders is cute, it makes him more believable as a character.

Graxster
I won't marry anyone until the construction kit comes out. Because... you know that someone, or perhaps a few people, will make a "Romance xxxx (NPC)" quest-line, as well as probably adding new animations for kissing/hugging/etc, just like they did for Oblivion. Not to mention the fact that someone else will make a mod that gives you a companion that ONLY tanks and never uses the bow. Marriage in Skyrim as it stands right now is more like a business arrangement. And finally, after the CK is released we'll get better skeletons, better meshes, better animations, and better skins. bassist02324
I got Saadia (girl the a'likr are looking for in whiterun) as a follower and married her as well... And buffed the everliving crap out of her. Gotta love the console.
Handofbane
I married Ysolda, once on an earlier character, mainly for the achievement (though she is a sweet girl!). My current longer lasting character is waiting for the CK to come out so I can set up a proper polygamy mod and spread his fine Orsimmer genes to improve the Nord race (and Imperial race, and Breton race... and so on). Amprolis
One of my characters has been married three times *slap* First she married Balgruuf and for a while they did the whole "hello dearest" happy families bit and she put up with the brat who kept asking her to leave and saying she was there to lick his father's boots  But then they had a disagreement over the Stormcloaks and people's houses got burnt, flaming projectiles were hurled on both sides and ultimately she had to kick him out of the city. THings just went downhill from there and it was divorce. Husband number two was Ralof and they got together after the Stormcloak victory. He had a wicked sense of humor and often greeted her with "Have you always been that ugly?" but ultimately she couldn't stand seeing him as a housewife husband made to cook and spout out "hello dearest" when he was far more suited to being an active soldier so that ended in divorce as well. Her third husband was Sanguine, he got her drunk and things got a little crazy after that; temple raves and goats were involved. He also had a wicked sense of humor but he's a sweety who constantly has a comeback on hand. He bought a house warming party to our home in Solitude; there was a blood bath of guards on the floor after that. I definitely think it's love
JanusForbeare
My favourite wife so far has got to be Ingun Black Briar. http://atvir.webs.com/Ingun.jpg Interestingly, she invited her alchemy tutor and her brother to the wedding, neither of whom have any associated quests (so I know they didn't come to see me). I decided to move in with her, bunking in her room in the basement of Black-Briar Manor. Her brother Hemming was an arrogant n'wah at first, but after a few ales (and a console command or two) we were the best of friends. I took him on many an adventure, hoping he'd eventually meet some horrible-yet-comedic end, but he survived everything from dragons to... well, dragon priests (Skyrim doesn't have a lot of variety when it comes to killables). Ingun, I usually left at home... she's a delicate flower, and more suited to brewing me potions - which she does every few days - than sticking swords in things. I also added myself to the Black-Briar Meadery faction, and made it my mission to clear out the lazy and incompetent employees. Profits have never been higher, and Maven is oh-so-proud of me!
