expansion
My game saves have corrupted back to about 30hrs previous...History:-Played about 5 hours-Did all the various ini tweaks out there-Played about 40 more hours-This morning opening inside-doors would randomly start throwing EVERYTHING in a room all over the place.-restarts and re-equipping armor/weapons didn't change behavior-Played another 4-5 hours-Logged off to get some food, came back, no saves would open-Went further and further back in saves, amounted to a ~30 loss of game time. Don't know why it's at the mark, there isn't any significance to files/ini/hardware changes in between the times-Tried to reload fresh ini with default settings, no luck-Tried to reload fresh ini with default settings but put theuGridsToLoad setting to what it was with modded ini (from 5 to 7), still no luck-Tried deleting the .bak saves, no luck-Tried starting a new game then loading from there, no luck-Tried moving all save games out of folder, deleting ini's, then starting game, running intro, creating a new save then putting old save back in, no luck. I've read this is happening to a small amount of people, including ones that didn't mod their ini. Am I screwed out of 30 hours or is there some other method to fix this ? i7 @ 3.5ghz6870x2 Driver 11.11whql8gb ramWin 7 64bitNo virus software enabled (MSE installed, but not active) Lemme know if any other details seem pertinent. I put on debugging info, just so you can see what the engine is seeing right before it crashes:[11/19/2011 - 03:48:26PM] Papyrus log opened (PC)[11/19/2011 - 03:48:26PM] Update budget: 1.200000ms (Extra tasklet budget: 1.200000ms, Load screen budget: 500.000000ms)[11/19/2011 - 03:48:26PM] Memory page: 128 (min) 512 (max) 76800 (max total)[11/19/2011 - 03:48:41PM] VM is freezing...[11/19/2011 - 03:48:41PM] VM is frozen[11/19/2011 - 03:48:41PM] Reverting game... expansion
Found Solution (maybe) ! I attempted to load an ini with the uGridsToLoad at 9 instead of where I had it (7)now I can load the game up...but I'm worried that with my card's that it won't be able to handle it outdoors and I'll get severe performance issues.. expansion
I believe I have completely resolved my issues. After getting the game running at ugrids 9, i followed the instructions on this neogaf post:http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=451616#TheOctagon%27s%20uGrids%20tutorial Which basically had me load the game, set the ugrids to 7 ingame using the console, refresh the ini, then save the game. Afterwards I ensured that my ini had correctly saved the ugrids=7 setting, and loaded the game back up and fast traveled to multiple locations to make sure it was stable. yay and /whew. expansion
Upon long term testing, my game crashes MUCH more often now outdoors, I don't know if it's something related to me visiting old areas where the gamesave was under some Grids 9 setting and had to reestablish itself or what, but it's there. Very unusual.
