rooj
Currently I have 70 hours of playtime, but since Skyrim is so huge, I don't want to necessarily rule out that these things aren't actually in the game, but it sure seems they aren't. There are 2 major things that seriously took away from the game for me. 1 is the joke of a stronghold that Sky Haven Temple is (new keep for The Blades). I was certainly glad that I was able to recruit 3 people to join The Blades. But that was it. I really wanted to see it become a city, and become alive. Alas it is just a dark temple with a few people in it... I was so disappointed that I forgot to even check if all the crafting stations are there. I wanted to build our own farm, our own stables... Would've been so cool. Wouldn't even have to be Sky Haven Temple, could've been somewhere else. I just felt like it would really have fit the game. My other major complaint, and I've only recently obtained this ability so I'm not 100% sure, but you really should be able to use Call Dragon to summon a dragon you can use to FLY and TRAVEL on. It made me sick when you fly the dragon to the final dungeon and all you get is a tiny cutscene... barf. I don't care if you can't use the dragon to epicly destroy everything in sight, but not being able to fly around and see the world from the sky in a game based around dragons was a huge disappointment for me. Another thing I thought would've been nice, is an interface for equiping, leveling up/choosing perks, and setting pre-defined AI (basically choosing AI based on class) for followers/companions. Add the ability to switch between characters and control them yourself, and you've introduced a whole new level of strategy to the game. Which of course brings me to my final complaint - the lack of challenge and strategy. For me the game was really nothing more than a hack n slash, I 1 shot most things with power attacks and I barely take any damage... Enemies seem to perform very few actions. There seemed to be no reason to worry about using any of the different types of potions/buffs. I've recently started a new game on max difficulty in hopes this would change, but so far I've barely noticed a difference... I am new to the Elder Scrolls games and know nothing of the modding community, but I'm hoping most of the above can be done. When the CK comes out I will tinker with it a bit myself, though I doubt I actually get anywhere. :P Lastly I just want to say that despite my complaints I believe without a doubt this is one of the best games made to date, and I've thoroughly enjoyed it.
