Pgeske
Hello,When I play Skyrim, the fps is generally within 35-55 fps. However, often when I walk the game stutters and appears as if it skips frames. But fraps says that the fps remains the same when it stutters. Is this a problem with my computer or with the game itself? Can someone please help me! I have an i5 13" Macbook Pro with an Intel HD 3000 graphics card and 4gb RAM. (Please don't complain about intel graphics cards. The previous ones were terrible, but the HD 3000 is far better, and it has been updated a lot. In fact, it works better on the MBP than the nvidia graphics card did.) Anything would be greatly appreciated. It is definitely playable when it stutters, but it is extremely annoying.Times when the game stutters:-Sometimes in caves or in buildings-When it is raining or snowing-Occurs randomly outside(The game normally doesn't stutter in cities)
PowderdToastMan
No, unfortunately that is just the way the gamebryo engine is. Increase your sensitivity about 15-20% above the default setting and it will go away

scruples
Try turning on V-sync & changing your monitor refresh rate to 60hz.Has something to do with the game engine being badly programmed... The LAA patch for an earlier version (patch 1.0) might fix the problem for you http://www.skyrimnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=1013specifically this part "additionally hooks and replaces the Windows GetTickCount() function that may improve stuttering."So you would need skyrim 1.0 and LAA patch 1.0 or 1.1 since it's removed from 1.2 and onward. Oddly enough I had this problem in New Vegas (practically same engine), but not Skyrim, but the LAA New Vegas patch fixed that one for me sohopefully the Skyrim LAA patch will fix Skyrim for you :D.
