A shame you can't own Forts and such... (hint, hint)

I have noooo idea how hard this would be to code, so forgive me if I'm speaking nonsense, but...

The game has an awful lot of forts and such in the wilderness, and upon clearing them of bandits, I've wondered what it would be like to move in -- they're full of chests and such, usually have beds, and are overall nice potential places. Unfortunately, there's no way to "own" these, meaning that bandits/the original residents respawn there.

Is it possible to code the game to add the ability to own these homes? Say, you clear out a Fort in Hjaalmarch, you go talk to the Jarl of Morthal, a new dialogue option is availble to purchase Fort Whatever. Maybe even presents the ability to let home design modders flex their muscles, as the owned building can pull the same stunt that player homes do and be redecorated upon purchase. Maybe limit it to one fort per region/Jarl, so as to limit you from buying up everything in existence?

I'm sure bethesda will release an official DLC for something like this, on oblivion they made that last DLC where you owned a castle so..

I haven't played Vanillablivion (without DLC, that is)... did places like Frostcrag Spire, Fighter's Stronghold, etc., exist before the DLC was added? Not saying Bethesda can't/won't likely add more places for us in this manner, but I'm just saying that I like the idea of having a Fort or two all to myself (it would be much better for a hardcore RPer, as it gives you "safe places" to camp for a night, etc.)

Will be possible with the mod tools. I promise.

Just be patient. Wait 1-2 weeks, youll get more you can own ;)

Is this along the lines of "I'm sure the mod tools can do anything", or more along the lines of "I know how to create and/or have played such mods in Fallout 3 and/or Oblivion, so yes, it's possible"

If the latter, could you just point me to some of the "buying existing buildings" mods that exist for these games? Would like to see how much of what I hope for I can expect.

I'm.. honestly not sure tigerp. :|

Just saying, I know that Bethesda can just airdrop a new fort or something somewhere and say "here you go", but I'm more interested in existing locations.

Hey, what about a mod like Real Time Settler or Wastland Fort for skyrim would actually rule!! getting to do your own fort in a place you like, getting from being a simple fort to an actually city like morthal or whiterun.

making you take part of the civil war, defending yourself from those f***ing imperial/stormcloaks.

i think it would be nice, specially because you now have animations and buildings for chopping wood, forging weapons, mining and all.
