I'm trying to extract the mod but I can't find the data folder for Skyrim. Could you please tell me where it is? I've looked under My Games and under Bethesda Softworks and under Steam but I cannot find a data folder for Skyrim. Thanks. Edited by Pineapplerum

Different computers will have the game installed in various places. The file path will be like this: *Installation Directory*\Skyrim\SteamApps\common\skyrim\Data\Textures

You could go into File Manager and tell it to perform a search for Skyrim if you can't find it manually.

Kk, do I have to download anything to do this? Because I just have the game installed. Ihave not downloaded or installed anything else, not the construction set, nothing. There's nothing under Skyrim in any of the branches for Skyrim except "saves"...that's it. Maybe I need to make a folder? I searched for the "Installation Directory" on my computer and nothing came up so I don't have that folder. So, I obviously do need to download or install something else. I'll look on the skyrimnexes site. Maybe there's instructions there on how to do this. Thanks. Edited by Pineapplerum

No. The Installation Directory is not an actual directory called that. The reply was a generic one as different users might have different file paths.

If you installed Skyrim to your C drive (installation directory) then the path might be something like C:\Program Files\Skyrim\SteamApps\common\skyrim

The data file would then be inside the skyrim folder
