ogridum
Im looking for environmental lighting that affects light sources and the same time create true darkness on the absence of said light sources. This video above speak for me. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZp4NZfkgYk Caves are dark, but torches provide the lighting. In the game you can pick up torches and hold them around. You can use candlelight or magelight spells. The sneak system in the game evaluates if you in the dark when sneaking around making it so its harder for enemies to detect you.It also provide more immersion during Night and inside caves/dungeons/barrows/crypts. In Skyrim, even the clouds eclipse the moon, the environmental lighting is not natural, it doesnt feel realistic. This is not something you can fix by applying post processing effects either, and even if you attempt, you will f*** up the colors during day. You cant simply apply a "tint" to it, because it will remain on during day as well. It doesnt affect AI behavior/perception of light/darkness as well. Right now considering everything is too iluminated, even during night or inside dungeons, sneaking is not believable or reasonable. Im looking for real light/darkness, just like in that famous oblivion mod "Real Lights":more info here:http://www.oblivionmodwiki.com/index.php/Real_Lights I want something like that for Skyrim. This is my request.
DeadxPixels
+100:DThe darkness is just awful :( I read somewhere that it's not possible yet without the creation kit. Also, torch-like lighting when you have spells ready. Fire(any spell, just for example fire) in your hand should light up a small area around you. Sneaking should then have your hand close in a bit around the spell to muffle the light.
