Ghost03 Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 Whenever I use the mod that makes all SI armor playable, my hands seem to disappear when in first person. Can anybody create (or point me to a link) the first person hands version of the armor? I feel really weird thinking I'm invisible. :thanks:
Ghost03 Posted December 30, 2007 Author Posted December 30, 2007 I'm going to try to create my own.Except I'm lost at where to start and what to do. Any help?

Ghost03 Posted December 30, 2007 Author Posted December 30, 2007 anything more specific? I'm not seeing anything about hands in first person.
Vagrant0 Posted December 30, 2007 Posted December 30, 2007 anything more specific? I'm not seeing anything about hands in first person.I think it is a similar issue to mythic dawn armor not being visible in frist person. Something with the armor being connected though the legs, upperbody, or something which by default gets disabled from rendering when in first person. Only the arms and hands get displayed while in first person. Not sure how helpful that is, but it should atleast point you in the right direction.
Ghost03 Posted December 30, 2007 Author Posted December 30, 2007 So what would I do to render the hands? And can I do this through the Cset? I don't care if I have to make iron gauntlets appear, I just want to not feel invisible.
Ghost03 Posted December 30, 2007 Author Posted December 30, 2007 I think I've stumbled upon something; If I make the armor NOT take up the hands slot, then use another armor as the hands (I'm thinking chainmail for the same color) would it work? But I've come across a problem; I don't know where to find the .nif/.ddr files.
Ghost03 Posted December 30, 2007 Author Posted December 30, 2007 I did some searching and I found bsacommander, which lets me select the files I need.I'm unpacking them right now, going to see if it works.
Ghost03 Posted December 31, 2007 Author Posted December 31, 2007 Ok, update When I made the armor not take up the hands slot, it allowed me to equip my own gauntlets.Except now there is clipping issues (the armor and gauntlets overlap, which is expected) and I do have hands now. But it's only up to the elbow, so when I attack I see a floating arm. Well, I guess something visible is better than nothing visible. Should I upload it?

Should I upload it?No. There is a way of fixing the problem without having some other gauntlet in the hands slot. Try looking at what others have done before you. As I had mentioned, they had to solve this problem with the mythic dawn armor.
